The cleaner will be providing the following support to the domestic team- To clean around the hospital where required.- Could be required to handle heavy objects e.g. 12.5K+ waste bags- Operating machinery, e.g. buffing machine & vacuum cleaner- Moving of buckets of water and cleaning equipment- Moving and handling of furniture- Required to walk long distances- Prolonged standing, lifting & bending- May be required to work in Covid wards and areas.The skills required are- Previous domestic experience- Previous experience of working in a care or hospital setting- Able to work well as part of a team and independently- Knowledge of cleaning methods and protocols- Knowledge of infection control, Health & Safety and COSHH policies- Worked in a care or hospital environment- Ability to maintain & clean to the high standards required by the Trust- Able to work without direct supervision- Ability to handle equipment and machineryStepping Hill Hospital is located on Poplar Grove Stockport and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport.
