Job Description

A global, engineering Consultancy firm have been consolidating their reputation amongst a plethora of different industries, over the last 30 years. Theyre happy to announce that theyre looking to introduce a C&I Project Manager to their developing team!Some of the benefits on offer include:

I am keen to speak to candidates that have any of the following experience:
  • Possess either a HND or BA degree within a relevant Controls or Instrumentation engineering background.
  • Project Manager / Managerial / Consultancy / Project delivery / Project planning / Stakeholder Management experience.
  • Thorough understanding of DCS and PLCs, including both hardware and software.
  • Experience with monitoring activities including installation, SATs (Site Acceptance Testing) and commissioning.
  • Confidence with producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, designs, diagrams, etc..
  • Good knowledge and awareness of Functional Safety, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS) and ATEX.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel within the UK and occasionally Western Europe, to attend or conduct inspections, audits, meetings, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), etc..
Some of the duties of a C&I Project Manager will be:
  • Ability to manage and dictate your own calendar.
  • Possessing flexibility and versatile characteristics as every day is different.
  • Travel to client & construction sites for meetings, conducting inspections and witnessing FATs.
  • To provide their prior experience and engineering background within a Consultancy approach, rather than hands-on participation.
  • Stakeholder Management and Project delivery.
This role will be suitable for candidates who have a strong Controls and Instrumentation background and has experience with delivering live projects to different customer sites or locations. The role is based in Stockport, with there being frequent travelwithin the UK and occasionally abroad.
