Job Description

We have a new opportunity for an Assessment Coordinator to join our team based in Stockport.You will join us on a permanent basis and both full-time and part-time hours will be considered. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £18,000 - £28,000 per annum pro rata.Juniper is an independent established training provider who have been assisting young people to move forward and achieve for 35 years. Delivering Traineeships, Study Programmes and Apprenticeships we help young people across the country to take positive steps forward in their lives.As our Assessment Coordinator, you will:- Assess students in 3 areas; Early Years, Business Admin and Warehousing- Deliver BTEC First Certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development – Level 2- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions to groups of apprentices and on a one-to-one basis- Compile and assess occupational qualifications- Deliver English and Maths Functional Skills qualifications up to Level 2- Contribute towards ensuring excellent student attendance & retention- Safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British ValuesHealth and well-being benefits we offer our people:- JFit - this is a scheme where employees participate in an exercise of their choice for 45 minutes, for 3 times a week, over a year (April to March) and earn extra annual leave for simply taking part- Health Shields - Cashback on health needs, such as dental, physiotherapy, eye tests and prescriptions- EAP – Our scheme to help any employees with any personal problems that may impact their health- Critical Illness Cover- Flexi Holidays – Including an extra day off for your birthday!- Cycle to work – We offer the opportunity for all staff to participate in the fantastic Cycle to Work schemeKey responsibilities as our Assessment Coordinator will be to:- Deliver excellent engaging, effective and innovative group training sessions to students- Plan and facilitate engaging schemes of work- Deliver inspiring training that meets criteria and standards for apprenticeships- Manage apprentices and their Individual Learning Programmes, closely monitoring and reviewing progress- Deliver training that meets criteria and standards for BTEC First Certificate in Children’s Care, Learning and Development- Arrange and facilitate motivational visits/activities- Ensure that students work skills are developed and that they are ready for working life by the time they leave Juniper- Conduct & use initial assessment effectively and set students appropriate, but challenging, targets & goals- Assess apprentices’ portfolios and provide regular supportive and developmental feedback- Conduct and document meaningful student reviews where appropriate- Conduct timely one-to-one visits with apprentices in the workplace and support and facilitate progress- Ensure that apprentices’ attendance and retention targets are met- Achieve targets to meet contractual/blueprint obligations- Complete required documentation in accordance with laid down procedures to meet both contractual and internal requirementsSkills and abilities, we’re looking for in ourAssessment Coordinator:- A full driving licence with access to a car- Experience of delivering Childcare up to Level 3- A minimum of 2 years occupational experience within the last 3 years- Minimum Level 2 English and Maths- Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification- An understanding of apprenticeship programmes- The ability to deliver effective training sessions to groups- The ability to persuade & influence others and deal with conflict/challenging behaviour- The ability to build rapport with the target group and retain their attention during training sessions- The ability to remain positive, with a bubbly, engaging personality- Competent in the use of IT- The ability to meet targets and provide a quality service to all stakeholdersIf you would like to join our team as our new Assessment Coordinator then please click ‘apply’ today – don’t miss out, we’d love to hear from you!
