My client is a food producer of innovative and delicious products. We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Supply Chain & Planning Manager to join and lead their team!The role will focus on leading a team of employees to achieve the day to day operations and achieve KPIs of Health & Safety, Performance, Quality, Labour utilisation, Material control and Waste for analytical reporting to Senior Management. Ensure all processesare run safely and in compliance with customer guidelines across the logistical areas of the factory. Engage staff through communication and feedback, identify training needs and motivate employees through regular updates on performance, achievements and areasfor improvements. Ensure all the team are working on area improvements and identifying talented people for the future.The role:Manufacturing Process Efficiency Increases - Gather information on KPI performance within set timescales. Develop knowledge of performance measurement systems for your area, know and understand the plan and keep your team up to date on theirprogress communicate any difficulties in achieving early and inform of the steps taken to remedy these issues.Systems - Ensure accuracy with company systems and databases which may include but not limited to Human Resources compliance, stock control, material storage and usage, H&S compliance, Food safety compliance. Must be a Foodlogik superuser andbe part of the cultural change required to drive this platform forward.Leadership -To lead by example in behavioural standards. Coach and encourage your team to make the correct decisions and follow the required protocols. Motivate by highlighting achievements and adopting solutions to difficult situations. Engageand drive the company vision and values through performance management of teams.Managing change - Be clear in your instruction and give control to your team through the clarity of your communications. Identify areas for improvement and assign them to relevant employees to get the task done. Empower and support staff tomanage any changes within the factory.Employee Relations- Work closely with HR in managing the absence and performance of all individuals in your teams. Responsible for the first stages of the disciplinary process. Engage with staff through clear communication and be open to suggestions,providing feedback from all areas of the business.Communication - Ensure full and effective communication with your team and with other areas of the business as you pull together all departments to reach the one goal. Collaborate between external and internal customers. Full ownership of allDistribution KPI measures and how this is communicated and information owned and presented.Continuous Improvement-. Keep up to date with current economic changes which may affect the business and processes. Work with H&S team on the delivery of Green programme and recognised site leader on energy and our plan of cost reduction. Thiswill require great influencing skills to ensure the wider team is engaged and focused on reducing our energy use.Training & Development - Work closely with training support departments to ensure the development of Team Leaders are relevant to the role, refreshed, fulfilled, compliant and recorded. To build training programmes aligned to roles encompassingbest practice, compliance, company standards, policies and changes to the work environment. Assist in delivering training workshops and building further training strategies with assistance from support departments.Machinery and equipment - To comply with individual work instructions; risk assessments; training and safety standards for all warehouse machinery and equipment in line with legislation and compliance.The candidate:
