Job Description

Lusona is working exclusively with our client in the Manufacturing sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reporting and analysis of the month end results and will manage the day-to-day finance operations to ensure the results are complete, accurate and completed on a timely basis.The Financial Accountant will manage the transactional team and be responsible for assessing controls and implementing streamline processes for right first-time accounting.The main responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the month end reporting process, ensuring completeness and accuracy and completed on a timely basis
  • Produce clear and streamlined working and evidence files for Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account to ensure compliance and consistency - outlining variance analysis vs expectations
  • Management of the capitalisation budget
  • Cost management and forecasting
  • Coordination of external & internal audits
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Supporting the budgeting process
  • Reporting Key Performance Indicators to identify root cause of any issues and implement mitigating controls for lessons learned
    • It is essential that applicants are fully Qualified, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS and have previous experience of team leadership and problem-solving skills. Applicants will ideally have experience of working in the manufacturing sector.The client offers flexible working and employees will be given the opportunity to work from home two or three days per week when lockdown ends.
