Job Description

OverviewRef: 63932Software Development / Home working / Python (Flask), Postgres/PostGIS, AngularExciting opportunity to join a company that is embracing all that working from home offers - there will still be a dedicated office space for those that want to go in but this is a chance to completely work from home if that is what you want.Role ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:

  • Helping to develop technical specifications for new projects
  • Leading the software design, development, testing and implementation activities
  • Undertaking technical leadership role in the delivery of medium to large scale projects
  • Specifying and implementing web APIs, using RESTful principles
  • Leveraging automation and continuous delivery practices
  • Providing mentoring and support for less experienced colleagues
    • Person SpecificationEssential skills will include:
  • Experience in design, development and delivery of web applications
  • Building and administering scalable databases using PostgreSQL/PostGIS
  • Designing and developing APIs with Python
  • Experience with some of the following development technologies: Python, JavaScript libraries, JQuery, JSON, Flask, AngularJS, Bootstrap, OpenLayers.
