Job Description

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Understand key business/programme/project objectives and provide solution recommendations, directly or by leveraging other technology functions as required (e.g. design consultation teams across M&G and TCS). Cost technical solutions and pass to projectleadership for inclusion in Project budgets, seeking a balance of cost and technical quality
  • Coordinate technical resources , ensuring effective completion of project mile
  • Provide a level of technical assurance ensuring various teams (network, voice, on-site support, desktop, platform etc.) have appropriate levels of testing, business engagement, documentation and risk management.
  • Manage and collaborate with resources across Technology, the M&G business and 3rd parties (such as TCS, XMA, Accenture etc.).
  • Provide regular updates into the relevant Programme Manager and/or Portfolio lead - including overall status, milestone progress, budget tracking, risk and issues, escalations and support required.
  • Due to the nature of this role, some out of hours work will be required - supporting weekend or evening changes.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Hands on experience delivering infrastructure, desktop and/or application projects.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management - ability to build teams that collaborate effectively across Technology, TCS and various business functions.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring delivery and status updates are thorough and of a consistently high quality.
  • Must be outcome focused, able to think outside of the box to deliver results.
  • Analytical - must be comfortable operating at a low level of detail (project tasks, asset tracking, financial planning and tracking).
  • Takes personal responsibility for technical costs, quality and progress.
  • Ability to respond positively to challenging priorities and take a flexible approach.
