Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with an independent shipping and forwarding company offering freight services situated in Grangemouth, Scotland. Established in 1890, the Company originally specialised in ship chartering and port agency, serving themany coastal vessels that traded between Grangemouth and the continent. The Company now provides a more comprehensive range of logistics services and remains independent and locally owned.We have a proven track record with a varied client base from small and medium size enterprises through to multinationals. Our independence means that we can be flexible in order to meet our clients logistic requirements.We arelooking to appoint an experienced Import and Export Operator to join ourteam in Grangemouth.Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinating all import and export activities for the companybooking in deliveries with loading and delivery points.
  • Maintaining and updating all information requirements related to these areas of the business including both internal and external requirements.
  • Arranging the transport and co-ordinating with haulage companies to meet agreed-on loadings and deliveries.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Freight Forwarding experience and great customer service skills to help our clients navigate a way through increasingly complex supply chains.
  • Previous experience is essential and relevant qualifications are an advantage.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong Communication interpersonal skills and the ability to build working relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages in particular Word, Excel and confident in the use of databases.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety and modern working environments.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of Import and Export Customs formalities.
  • A knowledge of SCS Multi-freight and Destin8/CNS.
