Engineering Stores ManagerLocation: Stirling, FK7 7QQ.Salary: Commensurate with ExperienceContract: Full time, permanent.Superglass are a manufacturer of mineral glass wool thermal and acoustic insulation. We currently have an opportunity for an Engineering Stores Manager to join our site based in the heart of Stirling.The main purpose of this role is to oversee the daily operations of the engineering stores whilst operating and maintaining an effective engineering spare part storage system. The Engineering Stores Manager is responsible for Health and Safety within theengineering stores areas within the plant. They will be responsible for daily checks on the goods issued and goods receipted as required by means of continuous audits and daily use of a scanner system for control of stock items. The Engineering stores manageris also responsible for control of onsite MRO specialists (3rd Party) to ensure stock levels are managed to ensure efficient running of the manufacturing plant and equipmentEngineering Stores Manager - Accountabilities Responsible for the maintenance of maximum and minimum stocks levels Operate and maintain an effective engineering spare parts storage system Ensure that all engineering materials are receipted and booked in on the materials management system Maintain accurate records of all engineering materials transactions Dealing directly with engineering colleagues. Developing systems and processes to ensure stock is well managed, costs controlled and key KPIs are reported. Managing the supplier stock and continually monitor suppliers Assisting the Engineering Maintenance Manager in controlling the engineering budget, generating detailed budget reports on a weekly, monthly and annual basis for management review Organising the stores for ease of use, ensuring that systems are in place for controlling the booking out of stock Loading and unloading deliveries Monitor compliance with Health and Safety within site operations and to always ensure adherence to the Companys Health and Safety Policy.What we need from youEssential Skills Flexible, adaptable, with good engineering process knowledge Work logically and efficiently in isolation or as part of a team Strong communicator Aptitude to learn new or bespoke IT systems Problem solving skillsDesired Skills Recognized apprenticeship preferably a higher-level standard NC/HNC Desirable Experience of the use of store operating management systems Computer literate.
