Job Description

LOCATION: This role can be worked out of the clients Stirling or Bedford officeOur electronics client who specialise in the design and manufacture of handheld IoT diagnostic devices for the Medical Device sector require an Electronics Design Engineer for an initial 6-month contract which is likely to extend.This is the chance to work on products that revolutionises healthcare, making a positive impact to billions of people around the world.With lots of new research and development taking place on several products there is a requirement for an additional Electronics Design Engineer to join the team.For this role you must have proven Analogue and Digital design skills, working throughout the product lifecycle.In this role you will be given responsibility and ownership of project tasks, and then given the freedom to work and fulfil the objectives.You should be confident:

  • working to project deadlines
  • working from proof of concept stage
  • doing schematic designs using Altium
  • doing board bring up
  • creating design specifications from product requirements specifications
  • working and communicating with external manufactures
  • SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Full electronic lifecycle experience (from concept to production)
  • Mixed signal design skills (Analogue and Digital)
  • Designed electronic products for safety critical sectors (e.g. Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Oil+Gas)
  • Altium schematic capture experience
  • Comfortable working on fast paced project developments
  • DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
  • CE marking experience
  • Knowledge of optical fluorescent detection systems
  • Knowledge of electrochemistry interfacing circuitry
  • Knowledge of magnetic circuits
