Job Description

SMT GB are an industry-leading distributor of Volvo Construction Equipment; always on the look-out for the best people. We now have an opportunity for a Depot Based Mobile Engineer to join our team in Stirling.The role of a Depot Based Mobile Engineer is an exciting opportunity working in the Customer Support function. Reporting to the Service Supervisor this role offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious engineer to apply their industry skills and knowledge to make a real impact on the team and business. With responsibility to carry out the service and repairs of machinery effectively and competently to the highest standard you will also

  • Maintain a sufficient toolkit (laptop, PDA’s etc) to enable you to carry out the job effectively
  • To carry out all work in like with quotations and time guides
  • Accurate completion of paperwork
  • Attend any relevant product or systems training courses to ensure a high standard of competence required to efficiently complete duties.
  • Work in accordance with Volvo Group UK standards of health, safety, quality and environmental care.
    • The position requires an engineer with:
  • Agriculture or Industrial experience
  • Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant
  • Competent in hydraulics and electronics
  • A willingness to learn and improve
  • Strong communication skills
  • Industry Knowledge
  • High standards and attention to detail
  • Problem solving ability and appropriate diagnostic skills
