The CompanyAble Bridge Recruitment are delighted to be working with a service business based in the Stirlingshire area. We have been approached to assist the company in the recruitment of a finance assistant on a permanent basis.The opportunity has arisen as our client has experienced unprecedented growth over the past few years. The role holder will work in a finance team of 4 people and will report into the finance manager who in turn reports into the board.The Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to provide support to the finance team by way of assisting them in their transactional finance area as well as supporting project costing. You will be a main point of contact for a specific area of the business which operatesin a time consulting capacity. i.e. the area of the business where they supply specialist/expert advisory services.On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following; Review timesheets of services provided on a regular basis to aid the production of invoices. Work closely with customers to ensure invoices are accurately calculated and distributed. Collate purchase order numbers with quoted / recharged and that the value of the invoices matches the PO value. Upload invoices onto portals for specific clients ensuring that all information required is accurately maintained (in these instances additional information may need to be uploaded. Assist in the collation, batching and preparing for payment of purchase ledger invoices for your specific business unit. Reconcile purchase and sales ledgers. Assist with adhoc duties where the need arises.The Requirements Our client is not seeking an individual who is necessarily working towards a formal accounting qualification, however it could be beneficial. We are seeking a candidate who has at least 2 years accounting experience and who has practical experienceof working in a project billing/costing role. We are looking for confidence, attention to detail and the ability to think proactively. The organisation are currently in an expansion phase and this role will undoubtably grow with the company.COVID19 statementOur client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a full time basis - Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.30.
