Job Description

Design Engineer (Automation / Control System)Location: Staveley, Derbyshire (hybrid)Salary: Very Competitive + Excellent BenefitsThe Client:Our client is a leading system and automation integration company, serving diverse industries and providing a comprehensive suite of services to support automation systems.The Role:As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in hardware and software design of PLC / Drive systems.Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from tender to project completion.
  • Engage in onsite commissioning.
  • Handle a diverse range of projects for OEMs and end-users.
  • Ensure continuity and ultimate customer satisfaction.
Requirements:Essential
  • Previously worked as a Design Engineer or in a similar role.
  • At least 10 years of industry experience, preferably spanning diverse sectors.
  • Possess bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Passionate about engineering within the electrical and electronic control system domain.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
Desirable:
  • Experience in installations from design to implementation.
  • Motion control application and PLC programming experience.
  • Background in electrical control systems design.
  • Understanding of major manufacturer’s drives and control products.
  • Familiar with tools like TIA Portal, Sypt, Ladder Logic, etc.
  • Expertise in integrating AC / DC drives.
  • Skilled in creating electrical schematics.
