Job Description

My client, a market leader in the manufacture of recycled plastic products, are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to join their sales team as a Sales Advisor at their site in Stanley, Co Durham.They supply a wide range of products including play equipment, outdoor furniture, fencing, dog agility equipment and boardwalks to schools, councils and industry.All of its products are manufactured on site enabling them to offer bespoke solutions to their customers needs as well as a wide range of stock lines. The company has grown with the increased awareness of environmental issues and is proud to boast thatit is in the forefront of the drive to reduce landfill and make waste a resource rather than a problem. All products are made from 100% UK recycled plastic (HDPE) and all are manufactured to our Environmental Standard ISO 14001 registered facility in Durham,England.The role of a Sales Advisor is to achieve sales targets through developing customer relationships and utilising excellent product knowledge and selling skills. Working in a small team, selling both to existing markets such as schools and pubs as well asidentifying and developing new markets.Keys responsibilities of a Sales Advisor include:

  • Maximise sales in existing markets and identify and develop new markets and business opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers via telephone, email and mail-shots.
  • Develop new markets and business opportunities in line with Company products.
  • Cold call potential new customers from databases.
  • Follow up new leads from customer enquiries, converting incoming inquiries into confirmed orders
  • Prepare and send quotations for customers.
  • Deal with customer complaints, investigating issues with relevant departments with aim of resolving promptly and escalating to manager when required.

Hours of work: Mon - Thurs 8:30 - 5:00, Friday 8:30 - 1:30, 37 hours per week
