CK Group are recruiting for a Quality Improvement Chemist on behalf of a well established, and growing Environmental Analytical Consultancy, to be based at their site in Stanley, on a permanent basis.Joining the organisation in a new position, which has been created to support with their continuous improvements, you will be responsible for:• Assisting in QC stability testing and training• Providing training in method updates• Assisting in modifying and validating analytical procedures • Supporting the design and development of protocols and SOPs • Assisting with analytical and instrument troubleshooting and problem-solving• Reviewing laboratory QC charts ensuring and taking corrective action where necessary• Reporting, investigating and resolving complaints, incidents and non conformances• Maintaining equipment and calibration logs• Liaise with laboratory staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable them to achieve quality standards• Providing assistance with Quality System, Vertical and Method Audits• Assisting with validation of new methods and equipment • Assisting with collation of data for annual QSR (Quality System Review)To be considered for the position you should:- Be qualified to BSc level (or possess equivalent experience) in Chemistry or a related subject- Have experience of working to quality standards such as UKAS or MCERTSIdeally you will have experience of working in a quality focused position in a relevant industry.Entitlement to work in the UK is essential.
