Job Description

CY Partners are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join a County Durham based Engineering and Manufacturing Organisation on a permanent basis.Responsibilities

  • Maintain accreditation to ISO45001 and ISO14001
  • Improve the business culture for Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality across the site.
  • Promoting the QA departmental reporting systems, ensuring that they are effective and map to the current objectives of the business and highlighting negative trends or areas of concern to the SHEQ Manager.
  • Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer)
  • Identify root cause and investigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues
  • Quality management, ensuring a pro-active approach to quality using data and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Participating in business improvement activities.
  • Plan projects or subtasks so they may be tracked and presented
Experience
  • Ideally educated to HNC/HND/Degree level in Mechanical Engineering and/or have a relevant professional institute qualification.
  • Audit Trained.
  • Possess a broad background in APQP processes / manufacturing with a wide range of knowledge on manufacturing and production processes, preferably fabrication and machining related.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering & technical drawings.
  • Have a working understanding of procurement & ERP
  • Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Documentation Packs (DOC), First Article inspection (FAI).
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001
