Job Description

The Recruitment Co are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Engineer to join a Engineering Company in Stanley.Working Week - 40 hours ( Monday to Thursday 0800 - 1730 & Friday 0800 - 1200pm )Salary - £25,00 - £26,00 PAPermanent PositionCompany Mission Statement:Consistently provide leadership in technology and innovation with the capacity deliver higher yield and greater value semiconductor products and lead our industry in market share and financial performance.General Position Summary:Works under general supervision. Develop and design a product/product family. Ensures production procedures/processes efficiently utilise materials and personnel. Tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications asnecessary.Essential Functions / Responsibilities: Review blueprints to determine manufacturability. Review plans and other customerdocumentation to develop and prepare cost effective manufacturing process. Provide technical services to customers regarding manufacturability of proposed new designs. Solicit technical advice as required from resources within the company to assist in determining a manufacturable process. Design and perform engineering studies, test and experiments for products/processes. Assist in the document control flow of the Approved Change Request/Engineering Work Order procedures. Lead development and production teams from a technical and cost basis. Research, design and build equipment for manufacturing related processes. Apply mechanical theory, mechanical testing procedures and related knowledge to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and production equipment. Maintain awareness and control of project cost, quality, scope, and schedule to ensure on-time delivery of the project within budget. Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluate cost factors.Secondary Functions: Perform other duties as assigned.Competencies: Technology Savvy - Proactive in investigating and adopting new technologies to achieve competitive advantage; value technology and understand the necessity of leveraging it to stay productive and competitive. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram orschedule form. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Education and Experience:Requires a B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent. 0-2 years of experience in engineering or technician experience in similar capacity. Good understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledgeof other related disciplines.
