Job Description

EA First have been exclusively engaged to recruit this exciting Management Accountant role in an ambitious SME. You will work closely with the Head of Fiance and be responsible for the groups management reports. You will also play an active part in the upgrading for the reporting, processes and controls.Key Accountabilities

  • Preparation of Group management accounts, ensuring accuracy of the actual results, comparisons to budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Preparation of regular and ad hoc schedules to support the monthly accounts including accrual and prepayment analysis
  • Specific month end work to analyse and post revenue, income and marketing events.
  • Ensure key balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis
  • Provide support and oversight to the purchase, sales and cashbook ledger functions
  • Support other finance staff in reviewing and approving staff expense claims
  • Preparation of VAT Returns.
  • Finalisation of year end accounting and preparation for audit.
  • Full participation in the management of the Payroll process.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Contribution to the ongoing review and development of the Finance systems and processes. Working with the external software support team where relevant to maintain and adapt the systems to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
