Job Description

Job Title; Technical Administrator Start Date ASAPDuration; 3 months Job Type; Temporary ContractLocation; Office Based in Manchester City CentrePay Rate; £17.00 per hour PAYERole OverviewWe are looking for an organized and self-motivated technical administrator who will be responsible for; checking and signing off product specification on the Co-op My Core system, maintaining trackers, supporting general administration and liaising withsuppliers for information.As a technical administrator, you will need to:

  • Carry out detailed checks and sign off My Core product specifications. These checks will require reference to Technical Codes of Practice and Guidelines.
  • Monitor progress of specifications checked and be able to report on status.
  • Gather specific data or ask questions of our suppliers in relation to product specifications.
  • Maintain trackers on Excel, gathering information from suppliers and/or members of the technical team in order to complete.
  • Support the technical team on wider administrative tasks such as document preparation/checking, preparing presentations and speaking with suppliers.
Critical skills:
  • Experience of working in UK grocery retail sector, within technical function.
  • Experience of My Core ideally or other Oracle based retailer specification systems.
  • IT literate.
  • Excel skills (basic).
  • Ability to interrogate data.
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Experience of delivering projects and to a plan.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable skills:
  • Food related degree qualification.
  • Experience of working within ambient foods and drinks.
