  • Function as a subject matter expert on security threat streams and delivering all-source intelligence productions and analytical assessments.
  • Gather, analyse, produce and disseminate intelligence information and products as tasked.
  • Monitor intelligence sources (OSINT, Commercial, HUMINT etc) for relevant threats that may affect BUPA or its partner organisations.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to identify strategic intelligence gaps.
  • Develop procedures and processes to standardize, industrialize, and enhance security intelligence production.
  • Apply theory and methods to collect, organize, analyse, interpret, and summarize reports and information to provide actionable intelligence and situational awareness to decision makers.
  • Builds partnerships with other BUPA units responsible for investigative, intelligence, or security-related operations, monitoring, crisis management and incident response.
  • Conduct reviews of analysis of threats that create a risk to the company, its employees, shareholders, assets and clients.
    • Whats a typical dayThe Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for coordinating, refining and executing security threat intelligence analysis and production in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, primarily for BUPA in the UK but also with a Global view. This position oversees all implemented processes and tasks pertaining to the analysis and production of threat assessments and specialised products in consultation with internal clients and senior leadership.You will conduct and support the strategic and operational analysis of security threats and geopolitical risks faced by BUPA and its businesses globally. This includes assessing the full spectrum of security threats, including, but not limited to, geopolitical and regional conflicts, organized crime (OCG), and Nation State Threat Actors. The analysis will be based on internal and external data/reporting and further developed in collaboration with a variety of BUPA market units.Who were looking for
  • Knowledge of current security threats and vulnerabilities, how to detect and mitigate them and their possible impact on the customers environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of threats actors TTPs and how to mitigate or detect them.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IOCs, where they are applicable and how to deploy defensive mechanisms to mitigate them.
  • Confident in their technical expertise and can present themselves as a technically competent SME.
  • Has a track record of technical delivery within a fast-paced & pressured environment.
  • Awareness and use of security and privacy concepts (e.g. international and industry standards, legal and regulatory constraints, etc.).
  • Good appreciation/experience of typical enterprise security services including but not limited to:
  • Threat Intelligence
  • Penetration testing
  • Anti-malware
  • Email/SPAM management
  • Authentication mechanisms
  • SIEM
  • WAF
  • Firewalls
  • Proxy technologies
  • IDS/IPS
  • DLPCapability to prepare clear and precise technical reports and assessments suitable for all business roles and levels.
  • A proven track record in a technical Information Security role.
  • Demonstrable hands on exposure within a Threat Intelligence role.
  • Must have an industry recognised qualification such as: CEH, SANS GCTI, SANS GREM, CRTIA, CRTIM
  • Ideally should be educated to degree level in Information Security or a related discipline.
