Job Description

Job description Right Now Group Limited have been tasked to work alongside one of the biggest cargo ground handlers based at London Heathrow.We are looking for x10 cargo agents to join our client due to massive growth and exciting new contracts secured.The role is working within a dynamic and fast paced office environment alongside the clients airline partners, ensuring their cargo is delivered safely and securely around the world!JOB SUMMARYYou will be required to create and update records of all consignments in the airline computer systems and separate and distribute cargo documents according to airline requirements, you will be also expected to serve customers collecting cargo including takingpayments of charges and operate a telephone system in a polite and efficient manner. in addition, you will liaise with warehouse staff and drivers as appropriate and be responsible for checking dangerous goods to IATA and AVI checks.JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Great Communication skills via email, telephone and in person.
  • Basic computer skills are essential as you will be operating and using a variety of systems.
  • Previous office experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English is essential
  • We will need to be able to complete Pre-employment checks. This will include a 5 year checkable employment / education history, DBS check (criminal record check)
  • In order to secure this role, the client will also require you to complete a full medical which the client will pay for. This will be used to test any problems with Sight, Hearing, General Fitness and problems relating to Drugs & Alcohol.
HOURS OF WORK, SALARY AND BENEFITSHoursYou will be required to work a rotating shift pattern consisting of Days & Nights which will be 12 hour shifts. Day Shifts are 07:00 - 19:00 and Night Shifts are 19:00 - 07:00. This works out to be an average of 42 hours per week.please find below an example of the above shift pattern:Week 1 Mon - Sun: 2 Nights, 5 OffWeek 2 Mon - Sun: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 3 OffWeek 3 Mon - Sun: 2 Off, 2 Days, 3 NightsWeek 4 Mon - Sun: 4 Off, 3 DaysSalaryStarting Salary: £28,000 including shift pay and supplements6 Months increase: £29,250 including shift pay and supplements1 year service increase: £30,500 including shift pay and supplementsBenefitsThe client offer their team a variety of benefits but we have listed the main ones below
