Freightserve recruitment are looking for an experienced Air Import Clerk for a major Heathrow based Freight Forwarder based in Staines upon Thames area.The post holder will organise and arrange Air Import shipments from start to finish including the completion of Customs declarations. You will Work in a busy airfreight environment, servicing and developing our UK and Network customer base while workingto company and industry standards and regulations.Main Responsibilities:-Accurately process Import job file from start to finish including invoicing and POD`sAccurately and efficiently process all types of customs declarationsAccurately organize deliveries (Groupage / Special) according to customer`s requirements and deadlinesCompletion of Import Customs declarations using ASM Sequoia in accordance with the appropriate regime, instructions, and regulations. HOME USE, IPR, OPR, Licences, and CarnetEnsure all customer contact is managed in a professional and effective mannerDevelop local level relationships with customers to promote companys service offeringsEscalate any issues that may potentially affect customer documentation to the Line manager in a timely mannerMain Skills/Experience:-Proven Air Import experienceSignificant focus on attention to detailStrong time management skillsExcellent computer literacy with Microsoft Software applicationsGood communication skills, both written and verbal, is important for the role of Air Freight Import ClerkStandard working hours will be 9-5.30 Monday-Friday with a requirement to work on rotation to cover Sunday clearances which is paid overtime and normally only requires around 2-3 hours max.As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
