Job Description

This fast-growing luxury residential property developer, with exclusive riverside offices in Staines Upon Thames, seek a hands-on/proactive Accounts Assistant/Administrator to work directly with the Financial Controller on a wide variety of finance assistant/ admin tasks.Along with a salary of up to £22,500 - £27,500 per annum (depending on experience), you will also receive personal & company performance bonuses, 25 days holiday (and time off over Christmas and New Year), a pension, life insurance, free onsite parking & greattransport links, progression opportunities, an early finish on a Friday, regular nights out and social events, and ongoing training & accreditation support.This is a full-time office-based permanent role; however, a temporary/part-time position could be available for the right candidate, but again this would be office based, there is no remote/hybrid working as you need to be in the office.What you’ll do as Accounts Assistant/AdministratorThe main requirement of this role is to work directly with the Financial Controller and provide day-to-day financial/accounting/bookkeeping support and ensure all general needs are met including:

  • Support accountsreceivable, payable, and invoicing
  • Support with month-end processes, bookkeeping, and reporting
  • Support the preparation of management accounts, P&L etc
  • Work with Operational managers to ensure information is accurate and relevant
  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition
  • Ensure completeness and integrity of supplier/customer accounts
  • Build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant/Administrator who has the following:
  • Proven commercial experience working in a small but busy team
  • Good understanding of general accounting/finance processes and procedures i.e., Bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, journals, reporting, submission,
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance tools and software like SAGE 50, EQUE2 or similar
  • Great communication skills able to engage at people of all levels
  • Reactive and proactive, willing, and eager to jump in and support as is needed
  • Great organisational skills
  • Helpful and confident
  • Ideally worked in a construction or residential development business before, but not essential
