Job Description

Pre-Certification Electrical Test Technician The Recruitment Crowd are hiring for a number of Pre-Certification Test Technicians on behalf of one of our clients, a global distributor and repair specialist who support the manufacturing, automotive, food processing and energy sectors.Salary: £22,850-£25,250 p/a + bonus/commission plan + pension + 25 days annual leaveJob Type: PermLocation: Stoke-on-Trent (ST5)Hours: Monday to Friday / 8am-5pmOur client is expanding their Pre-Cert team. This role is part of the wider Production dept and has the responsibilities of inspecting, testing, cleaning, and labelling industrial Drives, PLCs, HMIs and General Controls pre-sale.The RoleThis role involves taking stock items and testing, repairing, and cleaning and packaging the clients high moving inventory so that its "ready to sell". This would be well suited to a Graduate, or someone with pre-existing knowledge that is looking to developtheir skillset and further their career.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verifying Part Numbers on All Units Processed
  • Inspection, Cleaning and Testing of all Units
  • Proper use of Shop Assets and Test Fixtures
  • Power and Diagnostic Testing of All Units
  • Programming
  • Support Quality Methods, Processes and Procedures
  • Support and Improve Quality of Final Product
  • Support Development of Capabilities
  • Performing Occasional Light Repair
  • Processing of Pre-evaluation Units to RTS Ready to Sell condition
  • Proper Handling and Labeling on All Units
  • Capture Estimated Parts and Labor Cost for Repairs
Qualifications
  • Must have a proven track record in a similar technical environment
  • Must understand the products from technical background and experience testing and troubleshooting
  • Strong computer skills: ability to learn and understand Radwell computer systems to perform job tasks in an automated environment
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to identify needed improvements in existing processes and assist in implementations of changes.
  • Ability to evaluate and solve problems as they occur.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Strong Computer proficiency
  • Being able to multi-task
  • Ability to work at fast pace
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Good communication skills
Education & Experience
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths / Science at a Grade C / 5 required
  • Technician qualification desired though not essential
  • Industrial product knowledge advantageous
