Job Description

Morgan Hunt are recruiting for specialist carpenters to carry out passive fire protection for a Social Housing company working on low rise, low risk properties/buildings across Staffordshire.This is an ongoing opportunity to work with a large, well-known organisation. They require experienced carpenters to carry out repair and maintenance work to domestic properties. As a carpenter you will be carrying out passive fire protection within social housing properties in Staffordshire. You will be working on a mobile basis using a company vehicle and fuel card. Duties will include:

  • Carpentry repairs (doors, locks, frames etc.)
  • Fire door repairs (closers, seals etc.)
  • Passive fire protection (batt, mastic etc.)
  • Compartmentalisation
  • Remediation works
To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience working as a maintenance carpenter. You will also require:
  • Full UK driving license
  • CSCS card ideally
  • Basic DBS
  • Asbestos awareness
  • You MUST have qualifications relevant to passive fire protection
Benefits include:
  • £20-£22 per hour - can pay CIS
  • Ongoing work with potential for a permanent role after 6 months
