Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work NIGHTS for a leading food manufacturer based in Newcastle under Lyme. They are offering great benefits such as fully paid Health Shield Membership and career opportunities!This Maintenance Engineer position is apermanentrole paying£43,000 per annum dependent on experience. You will be working SundayThursday 9pm to 5.30am (21000530) however there is flexibility available.AsMaintenance Engineeryou willreporting to the Head Engineer working in a team of 2 with the following responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planned, reactive maintenance activities and servicing of plant machinery
  • Complete relevant documentation using Excel such as maintenance logs
  • Provide support to the night shift production teams
  • Fault diagnosis and problem solving
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar
  • City and Guilds Level 3 or ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • A good working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable speed drives and control systems
  • The ability to read and understand schematic drawings
  • Experience in planned and reactive maintenance with the ability to fault find
  • Some mechanical knowledge (motors, gearboxes, pumps) would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of working in the food industry would be advantageous but not essential
