Job Description

Position: Lead Controls EngineerLocation: Stafford, UKAre you a skilled Controls Engineer eager to shape the future of power engineering in the dynamic field of HVDC technology Are you ready to make a significant impact by designing Control and Protection functions for HVDC schemes and converters, contributingto a cleaner, more efficient energy grid If youre ready to take your career to the next level while working with a globally recognized company, we want to hear from you.As a Lead Controls Engineer, youll be part of a motivated team responsible for designing and applying Control and Protection functions for LCC and VSC HVDC schemes. This role presents an opportunity to innovate, expand your design skills, and develop professionallyin the renowned field of power engineering. While based at our HVDC Centre of Excellence in Stafford, you may have the chance to collaborate internationally with other GE teams, test laboratories, suppliers, and customers.Additional benefits:

Role Responsibilities:
  • Design Control and Protection functions for LCC and VSC HVDC schemes, focusing on HVDC converters and the forthcoming HVDC Grid.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and other departments, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, consistently following engineering policies and procedures.
