Job Description

One of our key clients, a leading distribution company is looking for a Group Finance Manager to head up the finance department in a time of unparalleled growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the transactional financeteams, overseeing the review and reconciliation of all accounting transactions, processes and systems including the production of accounts to trial balance stage.Key Responsibilities of the Group Finance Manager

  • Responsible for the production of all internal reporting and external financial legislative requirements, ensuring adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Identification of opportunities to continually improve accounting and transactional processes, liaising with divisions/departments as appropriate, in order to implement changes/revisions as necessary
  • Develop and drive the future vision for the department, and strategy to achieve this, ensuring the current structure supports this. Contribute to the long-term success of the finance department
  • Supervise the production and distribution of all internal reporting to executive management, as well as monthly and quarterly external reporting requirements
  • Manage and oversee the production of all Statutory Accounts
  • Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards. Responsible for maintenance of all internal financial reporting systems (SAP, BCP, Khalix, Cognos, Business Warehouse, etc)
  • Ensure compliance with all internal control and Bill 198 requirements
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement in risk control, influencing key stakeholders by identifying valued activities
  • Lead efforts to implement system, process and/or reporting changes where necessary/appropriate
  • Build solid relationships with internal customers (including Commercial Teams, Parts, Supply Chain and Senior Management) and manage the day-to-day relationship with external auditors and FII Corporate Reporting group
Key essentials of the Group Finance Manager
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 7 years PQE
  • Working Knowledge of SAP
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to build positive relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a clear vision for team development
