Job Description

Blue Arrow are proud to be working in partnership with a great Country Hotel & Inn client who specialise as wedding venue who also operate as a Restaurant based in Rural Staffordshire. They are looking for a Breakfast / Prep Chef to join a permanent part-timebasis.Salary: £10:00 p/h with opportunity to increase after a successful periodHours: 25-35 hours per week working over 4 - 5 days per week - (6am-2pm) - including working weekends.Duties

  • Cook and plate up a maximum of 50 breakfast between 6.30am and 10pm
  • Perform routine kitchen tasks
  • Follow the prep list created to plan duties
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep
  • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
About You
  • Proven relevant and recent experience as a breakfast/prep chef is essential
  • Food hygiene certified
  • Minimum NVQ2, or equivalent, in food preparation/catering within the last 3 years
  • Excellent communication, numeric and literacy skills
  • Approachable, friendly and able to work alone and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good organisational and practical skills
  • Capable of understanding and adhering to policies and procedures
  • Integrity and ability to work independently
  • Capacity to recognise risks
  • Ability to take responsibility
The CommuteOur client is based in Newcastle under Lyme / rural Staffordshire. Due to the location you ideally need to drive / have access to transport or live in surrounding areas.
