International Decorative Surfaces are the UKs largest distributor of decorative surfaces specialising in flooring, worktops, laminates, compact, panel products, solid surface and wallpanelling. With an annual turnover of more than £120 million we take the business of fulfilling our customers needs very seriously. In this role your main responsibilities will to support the HR Director with all aspects of administration for the HR function and business as required.What will I be doing

  • Providing payroll reports (absence, overtime and any pay anomalies) on a monthly and ad-hoc basis to our Internal payroll department
  • Maintaining employee personnel files electronically and paper based - including personal details, emergency contact details and absence
  • Reporting HR stats, for example employee absence, turnover, headcount etc.
  • Collating historical information for industrial illness/injury claims
  • Support with recruitment - raising requisitions, liaising with our internal recruitment team and arranging interviews
  • Co-ordinate the Occupational Health needs of all our employees - arranging visits regularly, updating records, escalating assessments etc.
  • Work with employee voice groups to assist and contribute towards new ideas and promotion in line with our Company values / strategies
  • Work with leaders to ensure any absence paperwork is completed and recorded in a timely manner
  • Promote Company events / incentives and prepare supporting presentations, letters where appropriate
  • Assist and support HR projects
  • Coordination of meeting rooms, including the maintenance of meeting room stands and on-site visits
  • Maintaining and updating the First Aider and EHS reps for information and payroll purposes
  • Stationary orders and maintenance of stationary stores
  • Other ad-hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the office
  • Maintaining the office area and equipment, ensuring that the office is tidy and presentable
  • Receiving and distributing any post / parcels/emails
  • Keeping various paperwork / templates up to date - telephone lists, paperwork
  • Organising & arranging / helping to organise events on and off site
  • Manage Diary requirements for the HRD
  • Arrange refreshments for meetings as required
  • Any other reasonable duty as defined by the company.
