Job Description

Our client, based in Stafford, is currently recruiting for a People Advisor on a fixed-termcontract for five months. The role will start on a home-working basis initially, however candidates will be required to site once safe.The position is due to start in January 2021 on a full time basis. The salary for this position is in the region of £32,000 per annum.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, hold CIPD Lv5 qualifications and have strong experience of Employee Relations.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Partnering line managers to provide customer-focused HR and people related activities across the full employee life cycle
  • Providing advice and training on HR policy and procedure, and supporting the development and implementation of new policies as required
  • Handling volume ER casework including leading sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance issues, up to and including dismissal and appeal level
  • Coordinating bundles for Employment Tribunal claims, liaising with solicitors and managers to support in preparation for court cases
  • Supporting recruitment activity for the area, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory procedure and effective use of all tools available
  • Assisting with HR project activity, including supporting the implementation of change plans including redundancy processes through to appeal stage
  • Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • CIPD qualified
  • Strong background of Employee Relations
  • Two years’ experience at an Advisory level
  • Working hours:
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
