My client is a highly successful global business listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has one of the most varied product lines in its field. In Europe it has operations in over a dozen countries selling direct to customers as well as through specialisedwholesale distributors and OEMs.The business now has a need for a very commercial, hands on Financial Controller with good business partnering skills to run its UK/Nordic operations and also have oversight of its Benelux/German businesses. These have a combined turnover of 60 million Euros.Specific responsibilities will include:* Leading and developing a team of four in the UK/Nordic finance team and supervising the Benelux and German Finance Managers* Ensuring smooth month end closing according to local/USGAAP* Business Partnering with the MD and Sales to drive planning, budgeting and forecasting including developing the Business Partnering process* Streamlining and automating processes where possible * 50% of this role will concentrate on Business Partnering with both the MD and the UK/Nordic operations, 30% will be spent working with and developing the finance team and the remainder will be spent working with the FD on specific projectsTo succeed in your application for the this Financial Controller/Senior Finance Business Partner role you will need the following:* To be a qualified accountant - preferably CIMA or ACCA, with a number of years as a Financial Controller having done the full range of financial activities* To have worked in a manufacturing environment - please state this on your CV* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to demonstrate that you have used these to analyse complex data to inform decision making* Experience in preparing and presenting reports, forecasts and budgets to senior management* Excellent IT and Excel skills* Knowledge of UK GAAP - USGAAP would be desirable though is not essential* Hands on mindsetIn return, the company offers an excellent remuneration package for this Financial Controller/Senior Finance Business Partner including a bonus, company car, BUPA and life assurance as well as the opportunity to develop your career.
