My client is well-established but equally open to ways to innovate and add value to their finance function and as a result they are now recruiting for a newly created Finance Manager role to join their busy finance hub in St Neots. Reporting in to the Financial Controller your role will be integral in promoting and leading the growth of the team whilst taking responsibility for the following duties;Month-end close and cashflow management Production of management accounts Overseeing AP, AR and General Ledger functions Assisting with production of quarterly and annual forecasts and tracking according to annual budgetProducing year-end statements for audit Overseeing VAT and CT returns Monitoring and analysing systems and the results produced and making recommendations for improvements that will benefit the wider business as well as financeManaging and guiding a team of four Ad hoc project work The successful candidate will be a qualified individual and someone who has likely trained in practice and made the move in to industry and worked in an SME environment. A strong understanding of accounts from bottom to top is essential as is the ability to interact with people at all levels. Proven experience of people management is also ideal and the ability to lead from the front is imperative. This position will suit someone who enjoys working in a varied position and wants to be busy.
