Job Description

CNC Miller MachinistStable temp to permRate Guide: £15.00 p/hr, Overtime to £22.50 per hour (Time and a half)Own transport required due to location** Also, we are looking for a CNC Turner or an all-rounder CNC Tuner / Miller **CNC Miller Machinist, Program, Setter, Operator is required by established, successful, busy, specialised precision engineering company to machine components to precision limits.You should be a confident setter / operator capable of programming offsets and conducting basic inspection on your parts.This is working mainly prototype and low volume high precision runs, including inspecting your own work. The position is working with Stainless Steel / Aluminium / PTFE and Nylon materials.Excellent working environment and stability.Duties to include:

  • Programme, set and operate CNC Bridgeport Machining Centres and Heidenhain TNC 370 Control.
  • To produce one off and multiple parts to drawings.
  • Working from drawings.
  • Report to machine shop supervisor directly.
    • Skills / Qualification Requirements:
  • Particular interested in candidates with any Heidenhain experience for using 530 and 620 machining centres.
  • Edge-cam off-line programming.
  • Time served mechanical engineer trained in machine shop technology and working practices.
  • City and Guilds or equivalent.
  • Team player.
  • Health and safety aware.
    • Standard Hours: 39 per week. Monday to Friday - Days - (Midday finish on a Friday)Hours: Mon 07.30-16.00, Tue 07.30-16.30 Wed & Thu 07.30-17.00 & Fri 07.30-12.00Rate Guide: Up to £15.00 p/hr, Overtime to £22.50 per hour (Time and a half)Location: In the Sandy - St. Neots - Huntingdon - Cambourne area.Please bear in mind that you may not hear from us straight away.
