Are you a Buyer - Electronic Components, with experience in electronics looking for an exciting new challenge with a global electronics manufacturing company My client is a global, billion dollar manufacturing company, looking to hire a buyer to join their team, preferably with experience in the electronics field but open to less experienced individuals with a keen interest in starting their career as a buyer. In this Buyer - Electronic Components role, the responsibilities will include:-To manage the Vendor Base to obtain best prices and best lead times through negotiation and vendor visits.-Purchase components for production requirements using the company business information system. Ensure components are purchased at the right price and to meet the agreed delivery schedules.-Liaise directly with vendors to resolve problems such as goods delivered too early, short shipment, over shipment and wrong goods. Liaise with Quality for faulty goods.-Liaise with the Production staff to resolve any materials discrepancies in the workshop.-To build strong working relationships with Vendors and manage vendors in an appropriate manner to meet the needs of the business.The ideal candidate for this Buyer - Electronic Components role will have the following qualifications (but not essential):-Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply-A member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)-Experience within an electronics manufacturing purchasing background with proven purchasing and negotiation skills.-Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills.-Strong verbal and written communication skills.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing company as an Electronics Buyer.
