Job Description

Finance Manager - £32,000 - £35,000 12 Month Fixed Term Contract + Exceptional Benefits CardiffWFH OpportunityA rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Qualified Finance Manager to work for a global, high profile business situated on the outskirts of Cardiff. This is a superb opportunity and my client is seeking a candidate who will work closely withproject managers to ensure projects are set up, forecast, billed and closed in a timely manner. The role will be pivotal to the operation of the business and you will work closely with the Finance Business Manager, to ensure accurate reporting of performancein order to minimise working capital. The post is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis, however my client has stated for the successful candidate, a permanent opporunity will be offered.The successful candidate will be part-qualified and working towards their ACA/ACCA/CIMA professional qualification. The role will require an individual who continually challenges themselves and is comfortable in forging relationships. Previous coaching andmentoring experience is highly desirable as you will be required to work closely and over-see a team of 8.Key responsibilities include:1) Focus on the commercial viability of projects, looking at return on investment and working capital2) Ensure correct project set up including complex billing and revenue recognition3) Raise accurate invoices and liaise with credit control to ensure timely payment4) Support project managers to reforecast projects and challenge project performance to drive accuracy at month end reporting5) Improve working capital and support the finance team to achieve monthly billing targets6) On top of the project work, you will also be required to cover overheads and projects, fixed assets and licences7) Build trusted relationships to ensure exceptional quality and service is provided at all times8) Act as first line support for any queries from project managersPerson Specification:1) Excellent communication skills2) Driven and determined to make a difference3) Previous coaching and mentoring experience highly desirable4) Previous Project / Business Partnering experience highly advantageous5) Strong Excel skills and ERP system knowledge6) Occasional travel across various locationsYou will be a strategic thinker and be able to see the bigger picture whilst understanding the importance of the finer details.
