We have a newopportunity for a Training and Development Officer to join our team based in St Ives. The position includes home working, with agreed days in the office and community. Our vision is of a world where carers have choices.About the Training and Development Officer role:It is an exciting time to consider being part of our Caring Together team. We are focusing on growth to reach more carers and have made a considerable investment in our workforce. Working as part of the People team, your days will be varied and will involve collaborating with others to coordinate and deliver training to support employees and volunteers.You will provide regular mandatory social care training to support the delivery of high-quality carer services for unpaid carers, including regulated care breaks, as well as delivering supplementary learning and coaching across teams at Caring Together, and potentials to external organisations.What will you be responsible for- Supporting the delivery of the organisations training strategy, coordinating and delivering planned leaning support to employees and volunteers- Working with managers, leading on the induction of all paid and unpaid new starters- Supporting the organisation as an expert in the use of the My Leaning Cloud Platform- Tracking and reviewing compliance against KPI’s- Identifying gaps in training knowledge and coaching appropriately, supporting different learning styles and helping to implement organisational change- Building and maintaining links with external organisations and trainers as needed- Developing, maintaining and publicising a calendar of training events to optimise take-up- Proactively linking with teams to make learning and development an integral, visible and celebrated part of Caring TogetherWhat makes you our ideal Training and Development Officer- Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification (PTLLS or equivalent)- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent)- Competency and confidence with MS programmes (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)- Experience of delivering high-quality training to a diverse range of users and stakeholders in a variety of ways- Confidence with designing and delivering training materials- The ability to work productively with a range of people- Be driven to make the best use of technology, and to deliver exceptional training support with varied content and methods- Willingness to travel across our region frequentlyThe benefits!- Opportunity to experience working in a charity that makes caring rewarding- Flexible working including homeworking but with occasional travel to our St Ives and Swaffham locations- Comprehensive induction and ongoing development- 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays (eight days).
