Service and Installation EngineerIn order to meet sales demand and growth our long established client in St Ives is looking for an experienced technician to join their expanding team of mobile service and installation engineers. You must be prepared to travel to customer locations nationwide (although primarily in Norfolk & Lincolnshire) with occasional overnight stays, servicing and installing monitoring alarms & weighing systems at poultry and livestock sites. Job Requirements:·To carry out the installation, upgrade, servicing, commissioning, diagnostics, fault rectification of environment alarms, weighing systems, intruder alarms and CCTV surveillance systems.·Experience with intruder alarms, installations, cabling and connecting systems to single phase mains power.·Attending customer locations to undertake fault finding, units/PCBs returned to workshop for factory staff repairs.·Liaising with other technicians/engineers and management for advice on systems and technical problems.·Flexible working (i.e. occasional early starts / late finishes, or to provide technical support at the factory).·Provide call out as required at weekends, public holidays /staff holidays on a rota basis (currently 1 in 5).·To provide telephone technical support direct to customers as required.Job Responsibilities:·Experience and/or qualifications with Texecom intruder alarm systems, CCTV, in particular with Hikvision surveillance systems. ·Flexible attitude & approach, resourceful & pragmatic·Understanding of IP networking.·Familiar with the use of hand power tools.·Ability to work as an individual or as part of a small team.·Good knowledge and experience connecting systems to 3 phase mains power.·Clean UK Driving LicenceTraining:On the job training will be provided to the suitable candidate who will initially shadow anotherTechnician/ engineer until they are ready to work independently.Hours and Pay:·£26,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus overtime·On call allowance (plus overtime if called out)·Overnight allowance (plus agreed expenses)·Company van, phone & uniform·24 days holiday plus bank holidays·Monday - Thurs 8:30 to 17:00 Fri 8:30 to 16:30
