We are currently looking to recruit a Marketing SEO Specialist who will take responsibility for driving Search Engine Optimisation across the portfolio of SIG UK digital assets and work closely with the digital and marketing teams to drive content enrichment, keyword optimisation, and building organic search rankings across all major search platforms.We offer a great opportunity to build your career in a market leading business, along with a competitive salary and excellent benefits that include 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, a great pension, life insurance and a share save scheme.What does the role involveAs Marketing SEO Specialist, you will take ownership of SEO for SIG UK including strategy, roadmap, insight & delivery, delivering organic traffic growth across all websites. You will be responsible for the technical structure and governance of SEO and oversee the SIG UK link building strategy, working with the wider marketing team to conduct outreach and implement links with external companies.Working hands-on with the Content and Product teams, you will shape and drive future development and architectural decisions and deliver ongoing technical optimisations, including briefing and managing all requirements for new website builds as well as measuring ranking and traffic monitoring, industry updates, competitor activity, reviews of SEO activity and contribution to growth.The successful candidate will require:• Marketing Degree/CIM Diploma or equivalent with proven experience working in an agency or in-house SEO team• Proficiency with analytics tools (inc. Google, Ahrefs, Majestic, SEMrush, Moz, etc)• A full understanding of content strategy and optimisation• Experience in link building with an understanding of PPC and affiliate marketing• Strong analytical skills to pull data, generate insight and communicate this simply to drive decision-making across the business.• Flexible, with a positive “can-do” attitude and the ability to influence across a wide and often complex organisational structure• Positive, energetic team player and good communicatorAbout us…SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.
