Job Specification For: Production Operative (Sheet metal) Meyer Scott Ref: VR/07613 St. Ives Temp to Perm GBP8.91p/h Our client manufactures and sells all components for metal roofing and cladding including roof and wall profiles, standard and bespoke flashings architectural fabrications, gutters, louvres, structural sections and all the necessary accessories. Their production capacity includes the roll forming of metal roof and wall profiles and the manufacture of bespoke flashings and fabrications to a customers design in a variety of metals including Aluminium. They are accredited to ISO9001 Quality management systems assessed by BRE Global and are currently looking to recruit a Production Operative for a big project starting w/c 19th April. Carrying out labouring production, machine operating duties. This will be on an initial temp ongoing basis at their premises in St. Ives with the definite opportunity for long term to potentially permanent work here if the candidate proves to be the right fit. Training is given but you must be able to pick things up very quickly and be able to work using your own initiative whether individually or as part of a team. Duties to include: · Machine Operation · Assisting machine supervisor · Labouring · Loading of Metal on to machines · Other material Handling · Basic Sheet metal work · Folding metal on machines (training given) · General maintenance duties · Maintaining tidy and safe work space and environment · Adherence to health and safety procedures · Any other reasonable request by relevant Supervisor Candidate requirements: · Has to be available immediately to start with no notice period · Physically fit · Willing to work in a pair and therefore have good communication skills · Brake press experience would be advantageous but not essential as training given · You must have your own Steel Toe Capped Safety Boots to be considered to work here Working hours - 08.00-16.30 Mon-Fri
