Job Description

Lifting Equipment Inspector/Stores ControllerAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Lifting Equipment Inspector/Stores Controller based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will earn competitive salary based on experience.Hours of work are 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday-Friday.As a Lifting Equipment Inspector/Stores Controller, you will carry out routine inspections of lifting equipment, accessories, and plant in line with the LOLER regulations.You will be able to work on your own initiative while remaining a team player, self-driven, punctual, honest and organised.You must be able to commute to St Ives, Cambridgeshire on a daily basis.Role Requirements

  • LEEA Accredited/Qualified.
  • Harness Inspection training.
  • PAT (desirable, but not essential).
  • Good communication skills with all levels.
  • Excellent understanding / knowledge of Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998.
  • Excellent record keeping.
  • Ability to work efficiently while under pressure.
  • Management of stock levels, ensuring operational demand is maintained.
  • Maintain a colour code system for in date lifting equipment & accessories and update employees of any changes.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to learn & use CRM systems.
  • Ability to create and update documents, and maintain registers in line with the LOLER & PUWER regulations.
  • Maintain good relationship with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to maintain and manage lifting equipment, accessories and plant in line with the LOLER & PUWER regulations.
Role Responsibilities
  • Complete statutory inspections on lifting equipment, accessories, & plant in line with LOLER regulations.
  • Update and maintain relevant registers and documents.
  • Control goods in/out for all lifting equipment and accessories .
  • Control stores, ensuring lifting equipment is maintained in line with PUWER.
  • Complete statutory inspections on working at height PPE in line with LOLER regulations.
  • Organise repair/replacement of damaged lifting equipment.
  • Ensure the health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Wear and maintain provided PPE at all times.
  • Maintain professional interaction with staff, suppliers, & customers.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced workshop environment.
