Job Description

Lettings Administrator (part-time £9.50 per hour) is needed to join a well-established lettings agent based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.Our client is a dedicated lettings agent with many years letting experience in the local letting market. They ensure that both landlords and tenants receive a reliable, friendly and efficient service. The business lets properties in the Cambridgeshire areaincluding Cambridge, March, Ramsey, Stilton and St Neots but most properties are located in the St Ives and Huntingdon areasThis is a part-time role working 95 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and 912 on Saturdays. As a Letting Administrator, youll take responsibility for supporting all activities relating to letting properties in a busy office.Key tasks and responsibilities of the successful Lettings Administrator include:

  • Promptly responding within agreed timeframes to rental enquiries via the Companys website or property rental sites;
  • Visting properties to take photos ready for inventory;
  • Carrying out viewings for prospective tenants, showing people around properties, answering questions and taking responsibility for securely locking up properties afterwards;
  • Managing and dealing with paperwork to sign tenants up
  • Answering incoming calls and emails from current tenants and landlords;
  • Acting as point of contact for tenants and landlords, dealing with queries and complaints and resolving issues with properties;
  • Dealing promptly with priority issues such as heating failures, serious leaks etc in properties, ensuring that landlords are informed, tenants are kept up to date and tradespeople are booked to carry out necessary repairs;
  • Liaising with approved tradespeople to arrange appointments at properties and for work to be carried out, ensuring that all the relevant information is provided to help the tradesperson to carry out the work quickly and efficiently.
The successful Lettings Administrator must have previous administration experience with demonstrable ability to provide excellent customer service. This is a busy role which requires attention to detail and great accuracy as well as the ability to stay organised,dealing with multiple tasks and priorities. Ideally, youll already have some lettings experience but thats not essential as our client can teach you everything you need to know!This role does involve carrying out viewings with prospective tenants so access to your own vehicle and a UK driving licence are absolutely essential. Youll need confidence in dealing with members of the public and to be able to handle anything and everythingthat tenants and landlords throw at you!In return, the Lettings Administrator will have the opportunity to grow and develop their overall skills within a busy team.
