By contributing to our customers social life and fostering friendships, our quality and locally sourced food is matched only by the warmth of our customer service.Job description:In line with government legislation it is a requirement of the role for all colleagues aged 18 or over and working in care homes to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have a medical exemption. You will be asked to provide evidence that you havehad a full course of the COVID-19 vaccination, or declare that you have a medical exemption.Your key responsibilities as the Kitchen Assistant will consist of:- Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times- Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients- Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures- Operate the till point as required throughout service, ensuring correct procedures are used- Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures- Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures- Ad-hoc duties to support the catering team and servicesProfile description:The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Kitchen Assistant include:- Genuine interest in customer service excellence- A great team player- Catering experience desirable but not essentialWe offer:As part of your package, we are offering a salary up to £9.50 per hour.This role also comes with a workplace pension and 28 days holiday pro-rata (including Bank Holidays).
