A superb career opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sales Engineer / Proposals Engineer to join a market leading R&D and manufacturing company who develop complex / bespoke special purpose machinery based in Cambridge.You will join a dynamic company responsible for the development of bespoke and sometimes technically in-depth proposals and tenders. This will include liaising with clients technical experts and project managers. Training and development will be given to theright candidate, but you must have a technical background either through academics or ideally from industry. This role would be ideal for an Engineer / Technician looking to make a step into a more commercially facing role.In return you can expect an excellent salary, varied work, superb training & support and a great company culture.Requirements - Junior Sales Engineer / Proposals Engineer * Technical background working as an Engineer or Technician ideally for a manufacturer of complex electromechanical machinery, instrumentation or bespoke high value electronics equipment and/or technical skills gained through academics (Electronics, Mechanical,Electrical, etc)* Confident using Office 365 tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint* Customer focused, with a passion for building strong relationships with internal & external customers* Previous experience of working as part of an engineering or technical sales team* Strong written skills to produce technical specifications and quotations* Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales and juggle multiple priorities* Solid organisational skills including attention to detail* Methodical working approach and comfortable with data/ numbers* The desire to continually learn and develop* Ability to read and produce drawings using either SolidWorks or AutoCAD would be a distinct advantage.Job Role - Junior Sales Engineer / Proposals EngineerVacancy Location - Near Huntingdon - Mon - Fri - normal day hoursSalary - £28-£40K + benefits
