Job Description

HOUSING OFFICER - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - WOULD SUIT MANAGERS / SUPERVISORS FROM HOTELS, CATERING, CASINO, LEISURE, BARS, FACITLITIES, RETAIL, TRAVEL INDUSTRIESBerkeley Scott are currently working on an exclusive government contract to recruit Hotel Housing Officers in Cambridgeshire.NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE HOUSING INDUSTRY IS REQUIREDThese roles are not for the faint hearted. The Housing Officers will be based at hotels which the government will be using exclusively for Asylum Seekers.The Housing Officers will be the point of contact between the hotel and the Asylum Seekers within thedesignated premises.You dont need any previous experience of working with Asylum Seekers or within a Housing role.We currently have hotels across the East Midlands, West Midlands, North West and now moving into the Cambridge area.Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer facing MANAGEMENT role
  • Ideal candidates will come from the Hospitality, Hotel, Catering, Facilities, Retail, Cruise Line, Casino or Airline Industries
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Cash Handling Experience
  • Deal with difficult situations and maintain a professional approach at all times
  • Available to work on a 4 day on, 4 day off shift pattern12 hour shifts and a mix of days and nights
  • Car driver preferred
  • Immediate Starts
Desirable Requirements:
  • Current Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Enhanced DBS or willing to have a DBS
Due to government security clearance required, you must haved lived permanently in the UK for a minimum of 5 years, you must hold a valid passport, you must hold or be willing to have a DBS check, and you must be able to provide proof of work within theUK in the past 3 years.Full training and induction provided.The roles are offered on a long term, temporary basis therefore we are looking for candidates who can commit to a minimum of 6 months work.If you are a Hotel Manager, Catering Manager, Catering Supervisor, Bar Manager, Hotel Receptionist, Casino Manager, Receptionist, Manager, we want to hear from you.
