Job Description

HSS Manager | St Ives | 37.5 hours per week | 09:00-18:00 with one hour for lunch/breaks| Competitive based on experienceAseptika Ltd (Activ8rlives) is starting to implement its strategy of embedding a full-time Healthcare Service Support Assistants into NHS services to support the use of its Active+me REMOTE technology platform for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation andneeds a Healthcare Service Support Manager to supervise locally-based HSS Assistants, as well as to manage their own small and local caseload.You will first act as a pathfinder to establish the protocols and working practices within the existing projects and contracts with the NHS and then to recruit HSS Assistants, who will be employees contracted to each NHS ICB region as HSS Assistant, reportingto the HSS Manager.Are you the right person for the job

  • A Personal Health Coach qualified for Phase 3 Exercise Referral and Phase 4 CR as a minimum
  • You will be trained and qualified to deliver Active+me REMOTE CR to referred eligible patients
  • You will be equipped with a laptop, web cam and large monitors for broadcasting and remote exercise class delivery with Smartphone, Tablet and mobile WiFi hotspot
  • You will be issued with an electric car to reduce carbon emissions contributing towards the NHSs Net Zero objectives. Leasing, mileage and electricity costs will be paid by the companys self-insured basis
  • Experienced, with at least 3 years of training and will have supported and delivered Phase 4 classes for CR and ideally PR, cancer (p)rehab and possibly Escape Pain
  • Adept at helping in CR & PR classes delivered to Phase 3 to support NHS delivery
  • Clean driving licence held for 3 years
  • Will have a valid Enhanced DBS check certificate which will be maintained for the duration of the contract
What will your role as a HSS Manager look like
  • Maintaining the highest standards of Confidentiality and Information Governance.
  • Supporting the offer of Active+me REMOTE to EVERY eligible patient referred to the CR & PR Services to provide increased patient choice, both with direct patient supervision and increasingly via the HSS Assistants that are recruited to become direct reports.
  • Measurably increase the number of eligible referred patients that:
    • Take up any offer of CR & PR, be it in-person, remote or a hybrid mode, both through direct patient supervision and then increasingly through locally-based HSS Assistants who report directly
    • Engage with the Active+me REMOTE App on a daily basis throughout the programme prescribed
    • Complete the programme of using the Active+me REMOTE App as measured by the use of the App each week of the programme
    • Improve patients Quality of Life, amount of exercise and education as measured by the NACR reporting structure
  • Training, motivating and engaging NHS CR & PR staff in the use of technology to deliver an offer of CR, by leading through example
  • Training, motivating and engaging the companys locally-based CR & PR HSS Assistants in the use of technology to deliver an offer of CR & PR, by leading through example
  • Detecting and eliminating inequity of access to the offer of CR & PR offers due to ethnicity, culture, location or financial status, reporting findings and identifying opportunities for improved delivery
  • Supporting the Company achieve a CQC certification as a qualified provider
