Job Description

First Aider Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08853Salary: £14.00 per hourLocation: St. Ives, CambridgeshireType: Temporary assignmentOur client is an educational setting located in St. Ives; they are seeking a Temporary First Aider for minimum of 4 weeks work in the first instance, of course this could be ongoing.Candidates MUST have a full DBS check already in place as this is an immediate start.A minimum first aid qualification for the 3-day First Aid at Work course, or equivalent, must be held by the candidate.Duties include:

  • Interacting with students aged 11-18 years old.
  • Supplying emergency first aid as needed in a school setting.
  • They have a call-out system where teachers email a first aider during lessons, the first aider triages the incidents, then goes out to the students classrooms as needed.
  • If necessary, parents need to be called for collection.
  • All incidents need to be logged.
  • Incidents range from needing a plaster for a small cut, to banged/head fainting/seizure.
  • There is a pastoral care team to deal with well-being, at this stage our client requires a first aid professional only.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm (but flexible by half hour). Must be 5 days a week!Candidates MUST have a full DBS check already in place as this is an immediate start.
