Job Description

Permanent Technical Roles with a Local Business Based in St Ives. Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08430Location: St Ives (Office Based)Salary: £20K - £35K + Bonuses, dependent upon role and skill setOur client is an established St Ives based company celebrating 20 years in the worldwide gas analysis and detection industry with their produce range being sold all over the world.They have a few roles they are looking to fill due to expansion not retention of existing staff which is very encouraging.They are currently paying company annual bonuses (around the region of £1,500 p.a.) with salaries ranging from £20K for the less skilled roles to £35K for those more senior skilled roles.These roles very much overlap in terms of skill set so everything depends on where YOU sit with regards to experience and present salary. They are graded in seniority with the assembly roles being a less skilled roles and the repair technicians being ofa more senior role. Salaries from £20K right up to £35K respectively - open to negotiation so please send us your CV and we promise to take it from there.Assembly Technician - Start ImmediatelyOur client is looking for an Instrument assembly technician to join their busy gas analyser team. This is a permanent position 37.5 hours per week with agile working hours. You will be based in an assembly workshop where Rapidox analysers are assembled andtested.Reporting to the Production Manager, your role is to help with the careful assembly of the Rapidox gas analysers. The work would suit a someone who has soldering and assembly experience of technical products. Tasks include preparing instrument panels withdisplays, keyboards, and terminals, cutting and crimping wires to make a loom. Working with molex crimps and other types of electronics connections, soldering wires onto terminals, and mechanical assembly of metal parts using common tools found in a workshop.Candidate Criteria: You must be neat and tidy and have a highly organised approach to the task with the ability to work unsupervised. An attention to detail is a must as they operate under a strict ISO9001:2015 Quality System audited by the British Standards.
