Linx Printing Technologies have an exciting opportunity for an Assembler to join their team based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.Location: St Ives, CambridgeshireSalary: Competitive + BenefitsAssembler - The Role:Your key role will be to work as part of a team on a single piece flow assembly line adhering to specified standard operating procedures. The assembler is responsible for delivering high quality machines to customer demand by following correct assembly order and quality checking of completed assemblies.You will be also involved in basic functional tests and cleaning processes of product and equipment requiring the use of solvents. The ability to use hand tools and testing equipment is beneficial in this role, as is an understanding of basic assembly principles and a knowledge/common sense approach to safety procedures.Assembler - Key Responsibilities:- Repeatedly complete all work to the required quality standard and within allocated time- To become multiskilled within the assembly line to achieve maximum flexibility of the team- Inform supervisors of any part, equipment defects or test failures to ensure root cause is addressed and containment of defective parts- Inspect and assemble components accurately within your workstation and given time- Maintain production line output by working with other team members- Maintain a clean and tidy work areaAssembler – About You:Work Experience- Essential to have worked in a manufacturing environment- Discipline and flexibility required to continually meet and exceed quality and production targets- Dexterity and precision required to meet high quality standards as well as good attention to detail- Experience of working in a teamKnowledge and skills- Basic English skills, written and verbal- Computer literate desirableCompetencies- Be able to understand and comply with written and verbal instructions- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods of time- Level of dexterity for precision assembly- Reliable, punctualPositive can-do attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to different workstationsDanaher Corporation and all Danaher Companies are equal opportunity employers that evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other characteristics protected by law.
