Application Consultant Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08483Salary: £55,000 per annumLocation: Home-Based, HuntingdonType: PermanentOur client is a leading solution provider to the Police, Criminal Justice, Emergency Services and Critical Responder sectors across the world; helping to realise benefits through technology-enabled Digital Transformation.They have an exciting opportunity for Application Consultant to join their team. This is a home-based role.Purpose of the role:This role is responsible for the implementation of the Origin and Orbit reporting applications for clients using the companys delivery and implementation processes.It will also involve consultation with customers and prospective customers to understand their business requirements and processes to then configure software applications in support of theseWho we are looking for:

  • Run client workshops to map and define business requirements and process for the implementation team to follow, providing business process re-engineering advice and guidance
  • Conduct the product configuration process, dealing with any functional or design issues and provide a bridge between the client project team and the technical team for any development activity
  • Provide support to the client during the testing and roll out process, handling any issues which may arise, triaging these and raising with the development team where required
  • Clarify and influence client expectations and keep the client and project manager informed of progress/activities
  • Provide training to the client on any part of the system. This may be to the project team, the clients trainers, or end users of the system
  • Participate in advice and guidance on product enhancements
  • Provide overviews of new functionality to clients and the same to prospects in sales-support function
  • Keep abreast of any new releases of the application software so that duties can be performed effectively, and value delivered to the client
  • Maintain workshop and training documentation in line with new releases of the application software
  • Assume role of lead consultant responsible for the implementation of the product
  • Maintain close client relationships, particularly with the client project team using commercial awareness and recognising when to use each type of consultancy intervention depending on the client situation
  • Work closely with other company personnel to ensure implementations meet the client requirements and objectives
  • Analyse and understand client needs, and clarifying their expectations
  • Keep the client and the company project manager informed of progress/activities
  • Contribute to the overall project planning and review
  • Develop and continually look for improvement in the implementation methodology
